“No matter where you’re from, your dreams are valid.” Lupita Nyong’o

Nope. Can’t get on board. Your dreams, and more important your interpretation of them, are not always valid.
That quote makes a pretty little bouquet on the dinner table until you apply reality to it. Back in the ’30’s a fella had a dream of a supreme race. He killed a few people who didn’t fit his dream…. see where that goes?
So, you don’t support Trump and his delusional dreams? It’s never late, my friend 😊
Only the ignorant and the left-wing nuts in America don’t understand Trump. Anyone who thinks of Trump, who fully understands that government has gotten too big and stolen too much power from its bosses and seeks to even out the balance by expanding on the freedom of the people, is a dictator in waiting is flat out nuts or they believe the government really should run everything. Period, end of story.
In reality, it’s the little dictators of the US, who ignorantly believe the politicians and elite intelligentsia should be America’s dictators who are throwing a fit. Trump is doing a fantastic job thus far, though he botched the rollout of his entirely legal travel/immigration ban from countries who support and export terrorism. I can forgive him that. He is a noob to the whole bureaucracy thing.
The guy from the 30´s also had his supporters, he blamed the jews, this blames the muslims, the latins, and whatever is not orange like him? Well, all this has a name and it´s not freedom, you know?
If not anybody has the right to dream, only the american dreams, certainly just some of them, are valid?
But why just a wall or a ban? why not ghettos and crematory? I mean, you already have millions of muslims and latins there, what are you going to do with them? Deportation is not fancy enough and it doesn´t work at all.
If you have the right to dream a great white america, I have the right to dream a new educated world 😉
Ah, see you’re lacking context and you have the wrong party too. First, the other guy was from the Socialist Party – the “Government should control everything” party. Second, back in the ’80’s Democrats pressed Reagan into a corner on granting Amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants who walked across the border with Mexico. In exchange for that Amnesty, the Democrats conceded that the border needed to be closed. Once Democrats got their Amnesty, they let the border go and now we’re in the exact same place all over again with more than ten Million illegal immigrants from south of the border again. Check your local county’s immigration policy, check Canada’s – hell, check Mexico’s (!). Illegal immigrants in almost EVERY modernized country around the world are sent back to their country of origin. We’re not talking about immigration here, we’re talking about Illegal immigration. Donald Trump is doing what past presidents and Congresses have promised, but failed, to do. For instance, I have a dream to be a Canadian so I can avoid all of the BS that goes on politically in the US, but I can’t. I don’t have enough points on their scale to become a Canadian system (and I’m in the top 10% of wage earners and own my own company here in the US). I can dream all I want but I’m not moving to Canada. I can’t even get across the border to visit because I have a drunk driving on my record from 25 years ago – and no infractions since! Now, you might not like it but all Trump is doing is legally enforcing laws that have been on the books for decades. As far as the travel ban goes, our own government, just SIX MONTHS ago, said it is woefully inadequate at vetting refugees from Muslim countries where ISIS is trying to mix in terrorists into the immigrants so they can wage their holy war here. Look at what’s happening in Germany and France for God’s sake! Heck, we’ve got Somali immigrants heading back to the middle east for terrorist training already (seven were just arrested, tried and convicted in Minnesota)… All Trump is doing is putting a temporary hold on that until we can make sure we’re not bringing in more terrorists – there are 40 more predominantly muslim countries that have no restrictions!
As far as the Muslims who do live here already, they will continue to be welcomed as they always have, we’re just trying to weed out the terrorists at the same time. What could possibly be wrong with that? And if there is something wrong, we’ll divert them all to your home town. Then you can see what we’re going through first hand.
You do have a right to dream a new educated world, but please get educated before you do. You have no idea the lies and fake news that you’re taking on faith. All we want here, including Trump, is the same common sense that you enjoy. And Nobody would ever think to institute concentration camps here, especially someone from the Republican party. We’re the party of freedom for ALL Americans. To suggest Trump is (or even COULD) for instituting that is simple naivety about what is happening here in the US.
Ok, Jim, I´m going to enjoy this 🙂
First, the personal stuff. I´m more on the left than you can imagine. Also, I have two degrees in philosophy and sociology, and I´m speaking with you in my third language. No lack of education here, make no mistake.
An important detail you´ve missed is that the German was a bourgeois socialism, not a proletarian socialism. I won´t explain the difference because we´re well educated. But I will remind that John Ford and some other prominent american businessmen gave monet to the German to invade Poland. That was the context.
Maybe you feel you need a wall since Reagan, and that´s a lot of time! But it doesn´t make the wall a solution.
I know spanish inmigration policy, and we have walls, and we see inmigrants drowning in the see almost everyweek. If you didn´t realize dead it´s the only thing that can stop a poor guy to cross any border looking for a better future, well, I invite you to look at this drama again. Migration is a human natural event, come on, watch the history channel!
Also notice, if you are banning something, you´re opening a new market to the organized crime. Prostitution and illegal workforce are serious profitable business but still, I think it´s not all about the money.
I could give you some lessons about terrorism, but you may prefer check my contry´s recent history. 40 years of terrorism, man! And also missed that we were kicking muslim asses much before than you were a british colony. It just doesn´t work. Period.
Why do you want a wall in the 21 century? because you only read american history and see american news and you don´t know that we have the very same problems, we maybe tried some of those things before and you´re going to do a huge mistake.
You don´t enjoy my common sense, if you do, we would all live better. Also, let me remind you that I´m not American so your freedom may threat my own, you´re usually myopic about that, and we suffered Madrid´s bomb attack because of your so called freedom back in the day.
Last, but not least, if you take the crematory literally, I won´t use sarcasm again because it doesn´t work the way I want.
The Great Wall of China seems to work pretty well. Look, I’d much rather leave the border open – my job would be vastly easier with a new 15 million illegal immigrants every ten to twenty years. Read that correctly, my beliefs are counter what will make my life easier and more profitable. Next, I knew this wasn’t your first language, I wasn’t talking about actual education. I know you’re a smart fella. What you can’t possibly get is the context of why we’re having this little (and I do mean little) squabble over here. Mexico has been bending us over a barrel for decades and I’d simply like to see something done about it. You don’t like the wall? We can send Mexico a bill for every illegal immigrant that comes across the border, that works for me too. Hell, we wouldn’t even have to build the wall if we did that… Mexico would build it for us! It should be pointed out that I don’t know one American, Trump included, who is against Legal Immigration. To add context to the “Illegal” part, the Left wants illegal immigration for the easy vote (Mexicans vote Democrat 80% to 20%). The Right wants it for the cheap, hard labor. Unfortunately, 75% of the population wants it to stop. Now, on to Muslim immigration. For whatever reason, some would say fear, the good Muslims won’t throw the bad Muslims (the terrorists in other words) under the bus. Until that’s sorted, I’m perfectly okay with disallowing immigration from those countries who sponsor terrorism – in fact, that sounds like common sense to me. It should be pointed out that, other than their desire to skip out on paying their bills (negotiating after the job is done), I think they’re awesome people. I know quite a few and I was a part of building the largest Mosque in North America. That said, the trick with immigration is we migrate to other countries to be a part of THEIR culture, not to bring our baggage with us. If I’m going to move to Italy (arguably the “homeland” in my case), I’m moving there to be an Italian. If other nationalities want to move here, they’re moving here to be Americans. That means embracing the fact that, unlike most nations, our rights are inalienable and God, not government, given. Our Constitution is a restraint on government, not the people. Trump is simply trying to turn the tables back the way it should have been all along. Where we run into trouble here is that the Establishment isn’t fond of being kicked in the rear so they’re retaliating by lying about what’s really going on. Trump has as much chance of turning into Hitler as I do Mussolini.
My point about “education”, knowing you’re a smart person, was only to suggest that if you’d known the full context, what’s happening over here would make more sense.
Please, first a fun note about the Great Wall of China 🙂 Progressive ampliations were added over centuries to one original wall… because it didn´t work!!!
You know, I have no special interest in solutions proven wrong, and this yet famous wall seems a bad idea to a lot of people all over the world.
I don´t know the full and precise socioeconomic american context, because I don´t leave there. That´s right. Anything I could read about America could be just wrong, lies and misinformation. Correct.
You would like Spain, we send illegant inmigrants back to their countries by plane, and we bill their contries for that. And we have some walls (fences, if you compare them to the great wall) along with the Mediterranean. You know what? They keep coming. Most of them are just kids, teenagers. Some had started to walk (yes, walk) from centroafrican countries to get to Europe, looking a better life, years ago. A wall is not going to stop them. Maybe we want to blame Morocco or the seaside countries but they also receive illegal inmigrants from southern countries.
Maybe Mexico needs help, not a wall. I´m sure, mexicans is a general way of speaking but you are really building a wall against the whole south america. That´s huge! Saying mexincans seems like a local problem. Hey, south-americans you have a new wall here, that´s how much we love you!
After these facilities, we also expect that they embrace our cultures. Why not? Now that they are in Europe or the US they should also support our inmigration policy. Is not getting a little bit crazy?
I trust you when you say if you go to Italy you would embrace italian culture. But, generally speaking, the US exports their culture, there is a McDonals in Bagdad! That´s crazy! Keep your stuff inside your country. No, you can´t. Generally speaking, your country don´t like other cultures, you want we embrace yours. Good news is the rest of the world is a little bit american already. But it´s not enough and it will never be.
No one leaves his home and goes to another country just to create problems. But if you have to work 8-10-12 hours, maybe you don´t have time to get involved with your new community. That makes you a bad inmigrant? I don´t think so.
Also, it´s hard to forget that we (nationals) usually disagree with a lot of things on our own culture. I´m thinking now on bullfighting, right? We have been against this nonsense for decades, why in the hell an inmigrant is going to support this? to make it more difficult to erradicate? So, at some point before we realize it, we are telling them how to think, how to eat, how to pray, how to dress, and so on. And then, we talk about freedom! I´m seeing less freedom everyday, everywhere.
I can understand you and all the americans are worried about inmigration, terrorism, unemployment, healthcare and education. Same topics here! What I cannot believe are the solutions proposed.
I saw the inaugural speech and I heard him. And I couldn´t believe what I saw and what I heard. Power to the people is quite communist, unthinkable to America´s founders, and this guy runs for the current right wing. So, the conservative american worker has chosen a millionare to bring them the power (not back, because they never had it), as he speaks against the system itself (which Trump himself helped to corrup, right?). Castro, Chavez, and some others also wanted to gave the power to the people. How is it possible that you voted the same message?
I didn´t follow Obama, but I check Trump´s personal twitter and Potus twitter, I don´t take third opinions from the media. All I know is what he says he´s doing, and I don´t like his activities.
Ah, there’s a difference between opening a McDonald’s restaurant in Iraq (Chinese and Japanese food is HUGE in the US, as is Italian and Mexican for that matter) and me showing up in a country and expecting that country to operate like the one I just left. For instance, in Minnesota Muslims are trying to change the Law to Sharia, so Muslims would be judged by a different set of laws. This, rightly, has my undies in a bunch. Also, I would disagree with your take on Communism and Socialism. Chavez only preached power to the people as he took over every industry in the nation. Put simply, Communism is “the party runs everything”. Socialism, it’s dirty kissing cousin, is the State controls everything. Those are traits of ex-president Obama and Bernie Sanders, not Trump.
I didn´t know about the Minnesota Muslims, but we had fun here when we heard about the Creationism and what they want to teach and don´t teach at schools.
I´m sorry you don´t like it, but power to the people is a communist principle, and it´s in the books, you can check it. And Trump said it a couple of times in his speech.
Both, communism and socialism argue that the working class possesses the means of production, which means Trump giving his companies to his workers… can you imagine? Yes, Chavez took over every industry in the nation from private hands and nationalized them. So, I´m looking forward to discovering what the famous sentence means to Trump.
I can see your point, but the concept of power to the people in socialist and Communist countries is a lie used to take the power from the people to enrich the government or party, respectively. How much power do Venezuelans have now that they’re starving and can’t even buy toilet paper… in fact, their currency is so useless, they’re using that. Meanwhile Chavez’s daughter is worth $4 Billion (US of course). Boom, drops mic.
Haha, you don´t need a mic to say that. Good morning, btw.
Of course we can judge what a particular individual does as ruler, if he keeps his word, if he sticks to the plan, etc. But the behavior of a ruler don´t make the theory any less true.
Communism principles were stablished way before Chavez was born.
In the other hand, almost every capitalist polititian steal money! It´s called corruption and it´s on the news everyday, all over the world.
In Spain, our capitalist rulers even kill spanish people because they steal the money from trains security measures! It´s that cruel and disgusting. But in these cases, let´s blame individuals and say nothing about capitalism.
As the most of the countries of the world are capitalist, it´s clear that we have more examples of bad (really bad) capitalists and capitalism, but we never doubt the system.
Is there any president in the world with no money or a great job after his time at the government? Boom. No, there is not any 🙂
Trump. He was a billionaire before he ever ran and will be one after he’s done in four or eight years. He was never a politician (though he manipulated them as a businessman before he ran for office).
There’s one piece of the puzzle that shows where his heart is too. It’s our Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms. The first thing every dictator in history has done is take the guns/weapons, outlawed owning them in most cases (the second thing they do is place the state above religion). Trump, and Congress for that matter, are firmly on our side on this. Simply put, Trump hasn’t given any indication of some nefarious plot to become a dictator, nor would we who voted for him let him.
This leap that Trump is some closet dictator is entirely a construct of our left wing. There is literally no chance Trump becomes a dictator. Trump represents the party of freedom. Our left is the party of government control. It’s been this way for almost a century now.
You were fast there. Maybe Trump is the first who doesn’t need money from politics. But maybe his business become stronger and wealthier because of this, we’ll see.
Maybe our definition of dictator is different, as you know we can’t carry guns in Europe, and usually there is no limit of mandates. We may elect the same guy 20-30 years.
A dictator is a just the ruler of a non-democratic country. As long as we can remove them from the goverment in elections, they are not dictators.
Trump or any other president of the US, couldn’t become dictators ever because your 8 year limit (from our definition).
My apologies! Good morning, brother.
No needed, bro 😊
You don’t sleep or what?
Very little. Five or six hours a night. I take advantage of a power nap every now and again.
Wow! I had a roommate at college like you. He did a lot of stuff while the others were slipping 😊
Yep, that’s h0w I roll! The only problem with this is that by 8 in the evening, I can’t keep my eyes open!
I see, too late for a nap and to early to really sleep your hours 🤔
