Three day quote challenge (III,Day 1)

Good morning, wish you a happy Saturday ahead. Thank you, Vincent Wambua, for this opportunity to keep posting quotes 🙂 Vincent is a friendly blogger with great motivational articles.

Challenge rules:

1. Post three consecutive days.
2. You can pick one or three quotes per day.
3. Challenge three different bloggers per day.

As I told you yesterday, I don´t know any African author. Do you know what? There are plenty!

I like Mohamed Ibrahim Warsame (Hadraawi). He is considered the greatest living Somali poet, having written many notable protest works. I couldn´t find a bunch of quotes, just this one:

“Without poetry we would not exist as a society. It can rouse thousands of people in a minute and demobilize thousands in a minute. As the stomach needs food, so the brain needs beautiful words” (Globalpost, February 2012).

But I found one of his poems translated: Has Love been blood-written (Jacayl Dhiig ma lugu Qoray). Enjoy!

My nominees:

A Norseman´s Tale

Words and Notion

Rebirth of Lisa
