Dreams don´t work unless you do
“We sink to rise.” Ralph Waldo Emerson
I had to chuckle at this one. Though it may be true, I can’t sink. I tried to dive once but my body kept bobbing back up. Unfortunately not all the way up. LOL
Hahaha! It seems to me you need a diving instructor 😉
Sort of like “he who is last shall be first.”
I think it says that failure is not a loss. It’s a gain. You learn. You change. You grow.
I like to use pretests with students who are honest and really want to move ahead. They see their weakness as a field to grow strong in (as I intend to see it as a field to teach). But there are many who see it as a defeat and become defensive. “We sink to rise” is a valuable philosophy. I agree.
How we cope with failure and losing may affect our entire lifes. I hope all your studens like the quote, and rise every time they sink!
big hugs, dear 🙂
